EMPAC was awarded the Innovation Award Münsterland 2019 for developing a new laser film perforation process in collaboration with the laser centre of the FH Münster. In front of about 300 guests, the Emsdetten-based company received the first prize in the category “Science Meets Economy”.
With the advanced process of manufacturing dissipative multi-layer foil, EMPAC display their spirit of innovation and further show that a cooperation between regional companies and science institutions are worthwhile. The process convinced the jury by its wide spectrum of advantages. It prevents the packaging from electrostatic charge, thereby securing its safety. In comparison to the previous process, the implementation is easier, more effective and more affordable.
Every two years ideas and projects are awarded with the Innovation Award Münsterland, which have a progressive significance for people around the world. All in all, five companies from the region received the award in different categories for their outstanding achievements.
